“Multiple Tencent Games Experience Disconnections: Response Points to Carrier Network Malfunctions”

Players of Tencent’s games including “League of Legends,” “CrossFire,” “League of Legends Mobile,” “Dungeon & Fighter,” “War of the Chibi,” and “Peacekeeper Elite” experienced server crashes on the evening of January 10th. Online players were disconnected, and some reported that they were able to reconnect with a probability, but the servers remain unstable at present.

This incident sparked discussions among netizens and became a trending topic on Weibo on the morning of January 11th.

On the morning of January 12th, Tencent Games addressed the disconnection issue on their official Weibo account. They explained that around midnight, network fluctuations occurred due to an operator’s line fault, resulting in some users in certain regions being disconnected or unable to log in temporarily. They assured users that the situation has been resolved.

Our reporter from “Science and Technology Innovation Daily” logged into the official websites of “League of Legends,” “CrossFire,” and other games at noon today. All related webpages and specific sections were functioning normally.

Previously, Tencent’s new game, “Star of Dreams,” also experienced server crashes. On the first evening of its launch, the game’s servers were overwhelmed by a large influx of players. Many players reported being unable to log in or connect to the servers. However, the issue was resolved that same evening.
